Jie Song Professor

Biography
Dr. Jie Song is affiliated with the Hangzhou Institute of Medicine, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received his BA degree in Physics at 2009 from Lanzhou University and his PhD degree in Biophysics at 2014 from Aarhus University. Then Prof. Song worked as Post.Doc in Denmark, Aarhus University and in US, Emory University for Two years. He was awarded the National Natural Science Foundation–Outstanding Youth Foundation at 2018. Prof. Song has co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles, including Science, Nature, Cell, Nature Nano, Nature Chemistry, Science Advances, Cell Reports, Nature Communication, Nature Protocol, PNAS, JACS, et al.. Prof. Song’s current research focuses on the biosynthesis, structural design, and biomedical applications of circular single-stranded DNA (cssDNA).

Jianming Wang

Biography
Dr. Jianming Wang is affiliated with the Hangzhou Institute of Medicine, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received his BA degree in Bioengineering from Jiangnan University in 2013, MS degree in Cell, Microbiology and Molecular Biology from the University of South Florida in 2016, and PhD degree in Pharmacology from Rutgers University in 2022. Then Dr. Wang worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, focusing on the regulatory mechanisms of p53 in inflammatory diseases. He is currently an Associate Researcher at the Hangzhou Institute of Medicine, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Wang has published 25 SCI peer-reviewed journal articles, including Nature Communications, Blood, Molecular Therapy, Cell Death & Disease, Journal of Nanobiotechnology, Small Methods, and Nano Today. He has been awarded the Zhejiang Provincial Young Talent Program and the Rutgers RBHS-SGS Technical Award. Dr. Wang’s current research focuses on the mechanisms of inflammatory diseases and malignant tumors, as well as the development of targeted therapeutics.
Yufeng Pei

Biography
Yufeng Pei is an Assistant Research Fellow at the Hangzhou Institute of Medicine, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received his bachelor’s degree and Ph.D. from Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. In 2020, he joined the Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences as a postdoctoral researcher, and in 2022, he moved to the Hangzhou Institute of Medicine, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research focuses on using single-molecule manipulation techniques to elucidate the biophysical properties of modified nucleic acids and unnatural nucleic acids, and exploring their applications in fields such as information storage and nucleic acid drugs. He has published papers as the first author or corresponding author (including co-authorship) in journals such as Science Advances, Nature Communications, Nano Letters, and Analytical Chemistry. He has received funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province.
Linlin Tang

Biography
Linlin Tang is an Assistant Research Fellow at the Hangzhou Institute of Medicine, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Southwest University and his Ph.D. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In 2024, he joined the Hangzhou Institute of Medicine, Chinese Academy of Sciences as a postdoctoral researcher. His research focuses on genetic circuit engineering and molecular diagnosis using DNA nanotechnology. He has published papers as the first author (including co-first author) or corresponding author in journals such as Nature Communications, Science Advances, JACS, Small Methods, and ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces.
